The UAE is recognised as one of the world’s most-promising gaming markets, with the highest expected revenue per user in e-sports in the region and the highest proportion (91%) of adult gamers globally.

The UAE gaming market was valued at $400 million in 2021 with 73% of its 10 million population active gamers and 41% spending money on games. The UAE has the highest gaming expenditure per capita in the region and one of the strongest levels of engagement, with gamers spending an average of 14 hours per week playing games.

UAE authorities forecast AR and VR will contribute $4.1 billion to the UAE economy by 2030, boosting the country’s GDP by 1% and creating 42,000 jobs.
