Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DMCC leads historic trade visit to the Republic of Peru and meets with Chamber of Commerce for Peru in Lima.
The meeting highlighted ways in which the Peruvian business community and DMCC, the world’s leading freezone, can work together and drive trade.
“DMCC offers Peruvian businesses significant commercial opportunities. During the course of my visit to the Republic of Peru I have had a chance to personally meet with business owners from different industries and understand how we can help them use DMCC to expand their enterprise through connecting them to global markets,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DMCC.
The Republic of Peru is a pioneer in superfoods and one of the largest exporters of coffee, grains and cacao.
DMCC recently opened a state-of-the-art coffee centre offering coffee farmers, exporters, traders, roasters and retailers access to a specialised trade hub with an array of services. This initiative has been well received by the stakeholders of the Peruvian coffee industry.
“These are exciting times for Peru and Dubai, and DMCC continues to connect trade and drive FDI to the emirate,” he added.
In May 2019, the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Peru signed a mutual visa waiver for travellers between nationals of the two countries.
