The report's most striking conclusion is perhaps that the scale and impact of digitalisation on global trade. This could mean between 100 million and 350 million businesses would become engaged in global export trade for the first time.

Professor Moran explained how interactive technologies bring education to the next level and showcased how big businesses can further benefit from enhanced analytics and research such as the ‘Future of Trade Report’ in this space. He also noted the importance of nurturing young talent by the recent establishment of a Curtin University Campus at the Dubai International Academic City. "Curtin are very proud to be establishing a new international campus in Dubai and look forward to working with the DMCC and local industry to produce industry ready graduates and collaborative research projects’, Prof Moran said.

CICC is committed to creating future growth and innovation in Australia aiming to catalyse and showcase innovation by bringing together customers, industry partners, start-ups, application developers, government organisations and universities.

Commenting on the meetings and efforts of CCI, CIIC and Curtin University, Mr Bin Sulayem concluded: “It was an interesting experience to see first-hand how the implementation of new technologies can significantly improve the education process. DMCC embraces further dialogue with CICC and we have agreed to maintain a close relationship with Curtin University to explore how we can collaborate to implement smart technologies in Dubai and the UAE.”
