- Made For Trade Live roadshow visits Barcelona for the fourth time, strengthening bilateral relations
- DMCC showcases ease of doing business in its free zone in Dubai to Spanish representatives and business leaders from multiple industry sectors
Building upon its record-breaking performance in 2021, DMCC – the world’s flagship Free Zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise – has commenced the 2022 edition of its international roadshow series, ‘Made For Trade Live’, with an event in the Spanish city of Barcelona. The event highlighted the commercial appeal of Dubai to Spanish representatives and business leaders from multiple industry sectors looking to expand their business abroad.
Held in partnership with major Spanish companies and organisations Bank Sabadell, Prodeca, and Foment del Treball Nacional, the conversations at this year’s first Made For Trade Live event centred around how DMCC and Dubai can better connect with the Spanish market to boost bilateral trade, whilst demonstrating the commercial appeal of the emirate.
DMCC last held a Made For Trade Live event in Barcelona in 2020, which attracted 150 business leaders. The significant rise in attendees for this year’s event reflects Dubai’s growing status as a market that presents international companies of all sizes with high-growth opportunities.
In 2021, DMCC’s Made For Trade Live series played a key role in promoting Dubai as a prime destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), attracting a record-breaking 2485 new member companies to DMCC, bringing the total number of businesses in the free zone to over 20,000.
