DMCC is introducing an important administrative update for its member companies.
Effective 02 January 2025, all newly registered companies with DMCC will adopt the suffix “FZCO” (or “FZ Branch” for branch establishments) instead of “DMCC”.
Key details for existing DMCC Member Companies:
- Existing companies registered before 02 January 2025; suffix change will take place over the course of time.
- DMCC companies with both suffixes “FZCO" and "DMCC" are deemed to be valid during the transition period of 18 months.
- The suffix change can be made at no cost.
- This administrative change is designed to align DMCC member companies’ suffix with other UAE-based free zones.
What to expect:
- DMCC will issue a Suffix Change Certificate for each member company.
- DMCC will be issuing the process details about the suffix change for the existing companies in due course.
Next Steps:
No immediate action is required from member companies until further notice on the change process by DMCC.
