Eligibility

  1. DMCC licenced company -  Only companies with active licence can request amendments to their licence.

  2. Compliance with Regulations - The company must comply with all relevant regulations and requirements set forth by DMCC.

  3. No Outstanding Sanctions - Any imposed sanction on the company account needs to be cleared before applying for licence amendment.

  4. Expired Licence - Companies with expired licences can apply for a licence amendment; however, a justification letter is required to proceed with the amendment before renewing the licence, and the application will be subject to DMCC approval.

  5. Licence Type - All licence types are eligible for licence amendment service (Service, Trading, or Industrial).

  6. Retail, Industrial, and Regulated Activities - Companies engaged in these activities may have specific requirements and limitations for their license amendment.

Adding new unit/s to existing unit/s (same building)

Physical units

Required Documents

  1. Valid Ejari Certificate.
  2. Tenancy contract / Lease Agreement when Ejari is not applicable.
  3. Title Deed or Certificate of Ownership applicable for members’ owned units, or members’ leased units when Ejari is not applicable.
  4. Third-party No Objection Certificate (NOC) For regulated Activities.
  5. Operational Fitness Certificate (OFC):
    • Operation Fitness Certificate (OFC) for all types of activities excluding retail and industrial activities.
    • Retail Operation Fitness Certificate (ROFC) for companies with retail activities.
    • Industrial Operation Fitness Certificate (IOFC) for companies with industrial activities.
Non-DMCC Business center, DMCC Business Center, Tea & Coffee Center units.

Required Documents

  1. Tenancy contract / Lease Agreement.
  2. Third-party No Objection Certificate (NOC) For regulated Activities.

Removing unit/s from existing units

Required Documents

  1. Request letter: The request letter should specify the unit/s that the company is requesting to remove.

Moving to new location

  1. Valid Ejari Certificate.
  2. Tenancy contract / Lease Agreement when Ejari is not applicable.
  3. Title Deed or Certificate of Ownership applicable for members’ owned units, or members’ leased units when Ejari is not applicable.

    Companies with regulated activities must obtain a third-party No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the regulating authority.

  2. Questionnaires and Undertakings will be required based on the selected activity. If applicable, you will need to answer the questionnaire on the system and sign the undertaking letter without the need to upload any document.

  3. Operational Fitness Certificate (OFC): Companies operating from a location that requires an Operational Fitness Certificate (OFC) are required to obtain an (OFC) which will be initiated by system during the amendment process

    • Operation Fitness Certificate (OFC) for all types of activities excluding retail and industrial activities.

    • Retail Operation Fitness Certificate (ROFC) for companies with retail activities.

    • Industrial Operation Fitness Certificate (IOFC) for companies with industrial activities.

Change of Address

  • For companies moving to physical offices or Retail shops, if a Fit-out or a new address/ premises is required, then a fit-out must be completed before requesting a change of address. 
  • The company cannot shift to a smaller unit if the number of existing visas exceeds the allowed quota as per the new address size.
  • The company must ensure that their licence activity can be carried out on the new property type to which they chose to shift. (i.e. a retail activity cannot be carried out from an office or a flexi desk).
  • Companies with expired licences can apply for licence amendment, however, they are required to submit a justification letter, and the application will be subject to DMCC approval.
  • Draft Service Requests will automatically be voided after sixty (60) calendar days from their creation date if no action is taken by the DMCC Member. 
  • Service Requests awaiting DMCC Member Company action will be automatically nullified if the required actions aren't completed within ninety (90) calendar days of SR's return date. 
  • DMCC Member Company admin can request service cancelation by clicking the 'Cancel Request' button.
  • DMCC Authority reserves the right to request any additional documents at any stage of the process.

Change of Activity

  • Added activities must be from the same licence type (Trading, Service, Industrial). If not from the same licence type, the member company must apply for an additional licence and not licence amendment. 
  • Some activities (Single-family office, real estate, DGCX, and professional traders) are standalone activities and cannot be carried out with any other activities even if they fall under the same licence category.
  • Member companies with expired licences can apply for licence amendment, however, they are required to submit a justification letter, and the application will be subject to DMCC approval.

Application Cancellation

  • DMCC Member Company can request a service cancelation by clicking the 'Cancel Request' button from the Service Request page in the DMCC Member Portal.
  • A valid justification is mandatory explaining the reason for the cancellation request.
