    Eligibility

    1. DMCC licenced company -  Only licenced companies can apply for licence renewal.
    2. Compliance with Regulations - The company must comply with all relevant regulations and requirements set forth by DMCC.
    3. Licence Type - All licence types are eligible for licence renewal (Service, Trading, or Industrial).
    4. Industrial, and Regulated Activities - Companies engaged in these activities may have specific requirements and limitations for their licence renewal.

    Required documents before you apply

    • Workmen’s compensation insurance for active employees.
    • Third-party liability insurance for physical units.
    • Third-party No Objection Certificate (NOC) for regulated activities.
    • Industrial Annual Operational Fitness Certificate (IAOFC).
    • Certificate of Good Standing for parent company (applicable for Branches, Subsidiaries, and Joint ventures). 

    Required documents during application

    • Valid Ejari Certificate.
    • Tenancy contract/ Lease Agreement when Ejari is not applicable.
    • Title Deed or Certificate of Ownership applicable for members’ owned units, or members’ leased units when Ejari is not applicable.

    Renewal term

    Renewal of a licence for a term of 1 year.

    Processing time

    2 Business days. 

    Required documents before you apply

    • Operational Fitness Certificate (AOFC) for offices and (RAOFC) for retails.
    • Certificate of Good Standing for parent company (applicable for Branches, Subsidiaries, and Joint ventures).

    • Valid Ejari Certificate.
    • Tenancy contract/ Lease Agreement when Ejari is not applicable.
    • Title Deed or Certificate of Ownership applicable for members’ owned units, or members’ leased units when Ejari is not applicable.

    Renewal term

    Renewal of a licence for a term of 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, or 5 years.

    Companies with certain regulated activities cannot apply for multi years licence renewal.

    Policy

    • As per DMCC Licencing Rules, a DMCC Entity must renew its Licence on or before the date of expiry specified in the Licence. A DMCC Entity must not undertake or operate any business or commercial activities in or from the DMCC Free Zone without a valid Licence.
    • If a DMCC Entity fails to renew its Licence on or before the date of expiry, a sanction will be imposed on the member company account, penalties will apply and might lead to the licence being terminated by authority. DMCC authority reserves the right to request any additional documents at any stage of the process.
    • For more information on overdue fines, please refer to the FZ Schedule of Charges.
    • Companies with Industrial, and selected regulated activities cannot apply for two, three or five years licence renewal.
    • Companies with selected regulated activities who subscribed for a licence renewal package will be required to renew the licence annually with no additional fees until the package end date.

    Application Cancellation

    • DMCC Member Company can request a service cancelation by clicking the 'Cancel Request' button from the Service Request page in the DMCC Member Portal.
    • A valid justification is mandatory explaining the reason for the cancellation request.
