  • Award highlights DMCC’s commitment to delivering future-focused commercial developments, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leading global business hub.

DMCC has been named Commercial Developer of the Year at the Gulf Business Real Estate Summit & Awards 2026, recognising its defining role in shaping Dubai’s commercial real estate landscape.

Since 2002, DMCC has been at the forefront of commercial real estate development with the launch of Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) followed by the completion of the landmark Almas Tower in 2008. At the time, the tower became Dubai’s tallest building, with all office units selling out in just eight hours - a milestone that set a new benchmark for commercial real estate and set the tone for a new wave of commercial development across the city.

Following on from this success, DMCC has delivered a strong pipeline of premium commercial assets across JLT and Uptown Dubai, including Uptown Tower, One JLT, Gold Tower and Silver Tower, enabling the rapid growth of one of the world’s fastest-growing free zone ecosystems.

Today, Uptown Dubai represents DMCC’s next-generation commercial vision - an integrated, future-ready business district designed to set a new benchmark in urban development in the region.

Following the successful delivery of the 340-metre Uptown Tower, One Uptown Place and Two Uptown Place mark the next phase of the district’s evolution. Together, the developments will deliver an additional 560,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, bringing the total commercial office space announced within Uptown Dubai to more than 1 million sq ft and reinforcing the district as one of the region’s fastest-emerging business destinations.

Sustainability also remains central to DMCC’s long-term development strategy. One JLT achieved LEED Gold certification in 2015, well before sustainability became a mainstream focus. Uptown Tower continued this commitment by securing LEED Gold certification upon completion, while One & Two Uptown Place are also on track to achieve LEED Gold certification upon their expected completion next year.

Looking ahead, DMCC’s recently announced 600-metre tower within Uptown Dubai will further expand the district’s Grade A office offering, with approximately 50% of the tower dedicated to commercial office space. The development reflects DMCC’s continued commitment to not only meeting demand but driving it.
