Government of West Bengal briefed on DMCC’s global trade hub status

Dr Sanjeev Chopra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industry, Commerce & Enterprises of the Government of West Bengal led a delegation to DMCC’s headquarters in Almas Tower this week.

Hosted by DMCC’s CEO Gautam Sashittal, the purpose of the visit was to learn about DMCC and the growth opportunities on offer to Indian firms by connecting to global trade flows through Dubai.

The delegation included representatives of the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Ltd, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the West Bengal State Council.

The visit comes as part of DMCC’s commercial strategy to engage with target markets, underscore the ease of doing business with the world’s leading free zone, and highlight the emirate’s potential for international investors.
