Eligibility

  1. DMCC licensed company - Companies with active license and establishment card are entitled to apply for Employee residence visa cancellation.

  2. Compliance with Regulations - The company must comply with all relevant regulations and requirements set forth by DMCC.

  3.  No Outstanding Sanctions -Any imposed sanction (except for companies under winding up), on the company account needs to be cleared before applying for Employee residence visa cancellation.

Step-by-step guide

Log into the DMCC Member Portal and navigate to  Employment Services – Apply for Employment Visa Cancellation

Submit the service request by uploading the required documents

03

Sign End of Service Entitlement (if applicable)

04

DMCC initial review and approval

05

Application typing and submission to the immigration for approval

06

Once approved, E-Cancellation documents will be uploaded under service request documents

07

Employee is deactivated from the company.

Policy

  • Draft Service Requests will automatically be cancelled after sixty (60) calendar days from their creation date if no action is taken by the DMCC Member.
  • Service Requests awaiting DMCC Member Company action will be automatically cancelled if the required actions aren't completed within ninety (90) calendar days of Service Request's return date. 
  • DMCC Authority reserves the right to request any additional documents at any stage of the process.
  • The application fee is non-refundable once the application is typed and submitted to Immigration by DMCC. actions aren't completed within ninety (90) calendar days of Service Request's return date. 

Application Cancellation

  • DMCC Member Company can request a service cancelation by clicking the 'Cancel Request' button from the Service Request page in the DMCC Member Portal prior to application typing.
  • Cancellation fees will apply. Please refer to the link below under  "Employment and Visa Services / Miscellaneous Services" for the schedule of charges.

General Guidance

  • In case the employee is outside the country. Visa cancellation for outside the country is applicable only in following three cases:
    1. If the employee completes three months outside the country.
    2. If the employee is outside the country and the residence visa has expired.
    3. If the employee is outside country for less than three months, but the company have his/her original passport.
  • For employees who have sponsored dependents, they must proceed to cancel their dependents’ visas before proceeding with their own visa cancellation.
  • For the DMCC Entity’s manager visa cancellation, the DMCC Entity must apply first for a service request for ‘change of manager’ before proceeding with the cancellation if the manager visa under DMCC
  • Residence visa will be cancelled, and cancellation documents will be issued with a grace period of 29 days to exit the country or to do a change of status.
