The agreement to deliver convenient and secure postal services to DMCC’s 15,000 plus member companies and its JLT community of over 100,000

DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone for commodities trade and enterprise, and Emirates Post Group, the UAE’s leading post and express provider, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. The agreement sees the provision of dedicated Emirates Post Business Boxes, and a range of exclusive postal services to DMCC’s 15,000 plus member companies, and its Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) community of over 100,000 people.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC, and HE Abdulla Mohammad Alashram, Acting Group CEO at Emirates Post Group, signed the official agreement on Thursday, 24 May 2018 during a meeting at the DMCC headquarters in Almas Tower.

The partnership sees the creation of an Emirates Post service counter in the DMCC Client Service Centre on the first floor at Almas Tower, in addition to the development of a bespoke digital portal that enables DMCC members to process applications for a PO Box online.

“Sitting at the heart of the DMCC strategy is the approach that listens to business, understands what it requires to grow and provides precisely that. The recent agreement signed with Emirates Post Group is testament to our customer-centric strategy, signals our intent to remove barriers to trade, and essentially deliver a framework that makes it easier to do business,” said Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC.

“The services on offer through Emirates Post are essential to successful commercial enterprise, and driving efficiencies in this space will only serve to benefit the leading companies we host, and the burgeoning local economy we contribute to,” he added.

DMCC recently launched ‘The Future of Trade’ report that calculates the cost of trade globally as $1.8 trillion, 20% of which is related to paperwork. Digital communications, blockchain and the rise of e-commerce is transforming the traditional model of business correspondence, by reducing cost, increasing productivity, and driving economies over the next decade.

“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding represents a significant moment for Emirates Post Group, DMCC and the JLT community as a whole. Much like DMCC, Emirates Post Group is committed to providing bespoke services that businesses require to flourish, and we are delighted to officially extend our support to one of the fast growing business and residential communities in Dubai,” said HE Abdulla Mohammad Alashram, Acting Group CEO at Emirates Post Group.

“There are a number of benefits of having access to a dedicated PO Box as opposed to a central mailbox, chiefly among them being enhanced privacy and security. As a result of this MoU, DMCC members now stand to benefit from the wide range of services on offer through Emirates Post Group and we look forward to supporting their sustainable growth in the months and years ahead,” he added.
