In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, DMCC – the world’s flagship free zone and Government of Dubai Authority on commodities trade and enterprise – hosted an event led by three of its female Emirati leaders to champion women empowerment across the organisation. The event reaffirmed DMCC’s long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the national agenda.
The overarching goal of the event was to offer a platform for professional development and mentorship by providing employees with the opportunity to engage and learn from leading women at DMCC. The interactive panel discussion spotlighted Feryal Ahmadi, Chief Operating Officer, DMCC, Mariam Haidar, Head of Operations – Free Zone, and Sana Farooq, Development Director – Property. The distinguished Emirati leaders shed light on their career journey and the challenges they encountered and triumphed over, emphasising how DMCC has been instrumental in supporting their ambitions and aspirations.
The event underscored DMCC's ongoing commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment that empowers women to excel and lead in various capacities. With the UAE and Dubai now positioned as a global beacon for gender equality and women empowerment, DMCC continues to play a major role in advancing and driving this narrative forward.
